Midwest Best Barrel Racing (MWBR) was created to provide barrel racers with a fair, rewarding, and competitor-focused association rooted in Midwest values and big opportunities.

Our mission is simple: support producers, reward riders, and grow the sport by offering quality sanctioned events, meaningful point systems, and an attainable path to a strong year-end Finals.

MWBR sanctions approved races across the Midwest, allowing members to earn points throughout the season while competing at events they already enjoy. Our system is designed to be straightforward, transparent, and accessible — whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just starting your journey down the alleyway.

Membership with MWBR gives riders the opportunity to:

  • Compete for MWBR points at approved events
  • Qualify for the minimum $4,000 added MWBR Finals
  • Participate in members-only opportunities, including a High Stakes Race
  • Earn recognition and awards based on dedication and performance

We are committed to working closely with race producers to promote quality events and give competitors more chances to run, earn points, and succeed.
